- try babysitting or detassling
- 10 dollars in the bank every month wont get you far.. when you turn 14 get a job at the local supermarket.. you can also work at a water park if thats near to you or you could work at a golf coarse as a caddy theres endless petty jobs for someone your age. I
- I amm impressed you are interested in saving money. For now try sticking to a set amount on set times, bi weekly or monthly. And when you get extra but 20 % of it back. Unfortunaly some banks charge fee monthly for keeping the money so check which plan is best for you or till then use a home lock box. Good Luck
- Just be a kid. Get a good education and have a good time. Education is the most important, as that will determine how much you make. If you want to save 10 dollars /month that is good just to get into the habit of saving. This won't be an extremely large amount, but it will get you into the habit, so it is easier when you are older. Just ask your parents for a couple bucks a week to do things around the house.
- I don't know about being rich, but I can give you some pointers. I would try babysitting (some stores let you post on their bulletin boards,...), if you can mow yards, clean, run errands, get a paper route, ....There is a guy here who walks with lawn mower and a wagon with yard tools. He even printed his own flyer with his name, references,.... Ask friends or relatives if they know of any odd jobs anyone has ...a lot has to do with word of mouth. The best thing to start doing now is being frugal (aka cheap). Learn to live on less (cd's that maybe a friend can burn, clothes from resale shops ...), be creative or swap with a friend instead of using your own money. I know you don't want to deprive yourself of everything, but just pick and choose what you feel good about. Start with your savings and save as much as you can. Oh, and don't get a credit card and go crazy with it! Emergencies only. Credit cards are good for establishing credit only. They sink you otherwise. I wish you luck and happiness when you hit it big! Glad to know you are already thinking along these lines.
- Unfortunately, money never seems to come easily... :) But some things to do to earn money @ only 13 would include baby sitting, doing odd jobs for your parents or neighbors for a little $$, mowing yards, raking leaves, putting up or taking down xmas lights for people, pet/house/plant sitting, car washes, etc. This is what I did to save money - I had to give 10% of all the money I made to God, you know, the contribution @ church or for missionaries. Then I split the remaining money 50/50 for savings and spending money.. if I was REALLY wanting to save money, I would give myself less spending money and more savings. Also, I opened up a savings account in the bank and that's where all of my savings money went, ever so slowly earning interest (better than collecting dust on your dresser!).

- Try writing for local teen writing competitions or newspapers. They often pay the winner a good amount of money.
